Life In Japan: A rose is a rose is an onion . . .
I was trying the other day to imagine what went through my mind when I was 25. It’s both a difficult and amusing exercise. One thing I can assert with absolute certainty . . . I never imagined I would at this stage in my life be living in Japan growing onions in my modest garden! Continue reading

Shameless Self-Promotion Redux
Why should I be ashamed to let people know about my books? I worked hard on them, am proud of my work, and honestly didn’t write them for glory and money — though I admit I certainly wouldn’t turn away either — but merely put a smile on some sad faces out there or a twinkle in a few eyes dulled by bad TV and too many computers and smart phones. Continue reading

Shameless Self-Promotion – Part 2
Desperate times call for desperate measures. But this? “Buy my book or I’ll shoot this dog”? That’s disgusting! Insane! Maybe you should buy my book so I can get psychiatric help. Continue reading

The Man Who Loved Too Much Trilogy
Six years of hard work and my trilogy is now complete. In the metaphysical order of the Universe, it rivals the Trinity in its profundity and impact on the world. Some will understandably claim it is an inspired work channeling that which have driven great men to make sense out of the human condition. Others will say it’s just more passive-aggressiveness springing from unresolved adolescent issues and partially descended gonads. Decide for yourself. Death threats should be attached to a $100 bill. Life In Japan: Jennifer the Cat, Media Darling!
As an attention-starved author and overgrown baby, I of course am always trying to attract publicity. Again, one of my kitties has humbled yours truly by being featured in our local newspaper. Maybe I’m approaching this wrong. Do I need to learn how to purr to get noticed around here? Continue reading →
