Margaret Kimberley Interview (Video): An Objective Look at U.S. Foreign Policy

“Hegemons don’t have friends”, notes Margaret Kimberley. “They only have enemies and vassals.” That’s why the U.S. in its attempt to rule the world is becoming so disrespected and despised — and of course distrusted and feared. Margaret Kimberley doesn’t hold back one iota in this thought-provoking interview. Continue reading

William J. Astore Interview (Video): An Objective Look at U.S. Foreign Policy

As a former Lt. Colonel in the Air Force, William J. Astore knows the military. He’s seen how the closed loop of the DOD and the commercial defense industries has exponentially grown and now disproportionately determines the priorities and direction of America’s dealings with the rest of the world. Continue reading

Ajamu Baraka Interview (Video): An Objective Look at U.S. Foreign Policy

Ajamu Baraka is most famously known as the vice-presidential candidate in Jill Stein’s bid for the White House in the 2016 presidential race. But that is far exceeded in importance by his work as a peace activist. Continue reading

Are you pro-choice?

Enough is enough. Tyranny under the smiley-face of fake democracy must be stopped IMMEDIATELY! WE THE PEOPLE MUST HAVE A CHOICE — the decisive choice — whenever anything of consequence affecting our nation comes up for consideration. Continue reading

Peter Kuznick Interview (Video): An Objective Look at U.S. Foreign Policy

Here I interview Professor Peter Kuznick of American University for his views on the current state of U.S. foreign policy. Peter is best known for his work with Oliver Stone on The Untold History of the United States, which has seen exposure both as a book and movie with millions of folks across the globe. It’s a long interview but rich in historical perspective and keen insights on the reasons America is immersed in such turbulent times. Continue reading

Life In Japan: Kogenji Temple

Going to a shrine or temple for me now is one of life’s simple pleasures. So last weekend, we went to Kogenji Temple in nearby Tamba. It’s not a particularly fancy or spectacular temple but it’s very popular this time of year for it’s maple trees. (This article has some harsh things to say about Christianity and Catholicism. If you’re not up for it, don’t read it.) Continue reading

Another 5-Star Review: Blinders Keepers

Just got another 5-star review for “Blinders Keepers”, posted all over the book-o-sphere. Specific incidents aside, as whacky and outrageously funny as it apparently is, I think it’s astonishing how well it captures the absurdity and circus-like environment of our current politics. Continue reading

The Trajectory of U.S. Foreign Policy

There is nothing in the historical record of the last 100 years which offers any hope that the constant beating of the war drums will magically stop. That the trajectory of imperial conquest, and all the misadventures and war crimes which follow from that, will spontaneously reverse. Our only hope is removing the power-drunk lunatics now pushing us toward WWIII from decision making positions, i.e. regime change in Washington DC. Continue reading
