How Pledges Can Work
How will candidate pledges for progressive positions on key issues be effective? How will this work? Intimidation! We will either make the toadying hypocrites sign the pledges out of fear that they will lose the election, or we will run them out of office by instigating voter outrage for voting against the laws the vast majority of Americans want. Trust No Incumbent!
The bribery and blackmail has destroyed any semblance of representative government in contemporary America. We have learned our lesson. The faith both in our democratic system and the politicians we entrusted with the future of our nation and the quality of our lives was misplaced.
