A Nation of Relentless Savagery

We kill efficiently. We kill without remorse. We kill without hesitation. In 2016, the final year in office for our Nobel Peace Prize president, the U.S. dropped 26,171 bombs on seven countries, none of which have attacked America, none of which we are officially at war with. History will judge the U.S. as Martin Luther King, Jr. did in his historic address: “The greatest purveyor of violence in the world …” When you file your return on April 15th, recall that this is where a nice chunk of your tax dollars went last year. Is this really happening?

Anyone out there who is running for the Senate or the House, anyone out there who knows someone who is running for the Senate or the House, or anyone out there who knows what the Senate and the House of Representatives do . . . please look at my new activist website: http://no-contract-no-vote.us Continue reading

TPP . . . just extrapolate and you’ll get it.

The TPP trade agreement runs over 5,000 pages. There is so much to criticize about this diabolical gift to corporations, we could go on for months detailing its egregious agenda and ruthless grab for power. Much of the analysis and resulting critique is very technical. Most people can be forgiven for having their eyes glaze over and their attention wander. I offer this simple anecdotal report to make this complex issue real and accessible.

Let’s Try To Figure This Out

The bulk of climate change denial studies is generated by bought-and-paid-for lackeys who WORK FOR THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY! While it represents only 3% of the scientific publications on this critical topic, the PR campaign by giant oil, gas, and coal corporations has been highly effective, so the public remains evenly split. Even for those who are concerned about the threat of climate change to civilization, the self-serving deceptions by participants in the recent COP21 fiasco produce a luster of false hope and delusion. Fortunately, this fools no one who is really paying attention. Unfortunately, it portends bleak prospects for any massive substantial reform of our economic and environmental policies. Coordinated disinformation and willful denial are a devastating combination. Continue reading

War Games

Just so you know, while you’re having all sorts of innocent fun during the holiday season, playing Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Risk, Scrabble, Candyland and Boggle, here we have the lethal game our crazed leadership is playing. But this particular game is not fun for the whole family. War games will mean fewer members of your family to enjoy the holiday season next year. Continue reading

Oratory as a Weapon of Mass Deception

You can pretty much tape a copy of Obama’s speech at the U.N. this week to the wall, throw darts at it, and end up 9 times out of 10 hitting a half-truth, outright lie, or manipulative mangling of reality. I won’t even try to cover everything which puts this in the all-time Top 10 for gross misuse of oratorical gifts and abuse of the powerful platform he is accorded as president. Just a few comments along the way, made when I was able to get my gag reflex under control . . . Continue reading

Justin Bieber is the new Hitler!

If someone in the State Department or the White House decides that Justin Bieber’s music truly sucks, or even if they just take a disliking to that froofy, pseudo-pompadour hair style he alternates with his Beetle boy look, you can be assured of the headline the next day, front page of the New York Times: Justin Bieber is the new Hitler! “Buddy, can you spare some change?”

The vast majority of the American public has no one to turn to but themselves. The liberal elite are mired in unworkable paradigms, debilitated by a lack of imagination, dragged down by the inertia or careerism and an inability to commit to the dirty work of activism. The conservative elite have nurtured their sociopathic obsessions with wealth accumulation for its own sake, live behind insurmountable walls consigning the unwashed masses to a permanent quarantine, are more convinced than ever of their entitlement and exclusive right to rule the world.

My book is not more whining. It offers a step-by-step, highly detailed plan for challenging the corruption of our current politicos, and for reversing the destruction of representative democracy in America.

Change does not just happen. People need to believe it’s possible.

Then they need to make room in their hearts and time in their day to make it happen. Continue reading

Give Peace A Chance

America thinks it can bluster and bluff and use color revolutions to nudge Putin out of office and install some bloated puppet in his place like they did with Poroshenko in Ukraine. Russia is not Zimbabwe, Iraq, or Yemen. It’s not Grenada or Haiti. Russia is not going to be intimidated by a schoolyard bully. America’s aggression and infantile games can only end badly. Time for it to reverse course and cut its losses. Continue reading
