Santa May Be a Super Spreader!

With the recent discovery that an old favorite around this time of year, a man who children have always looked on with delight and expectation — yes, THAT bearded old white man in a red suit — has refused to be vaccinated or take a PCR test, alarm bells have gone off and warnings are being issued across the globe. SANTA CLAUS MAY BE A SUPER SPREADER! Continue reading

Wow! Britney Spears!

After years and years of struggle and legal battles, this courageous lady has finally escaped the court-ordered lockdown which imposed on her the random tyranny of a bunch of old white men, and kneecapped her brilliant career. We should all be very grateful that her nightmare is over. Britney Spears is free! Free to lead us to a glorious and redeeming future. Or at least get us dancing. Continue reading

Useful Idiots Are Still Useful

Political activists are always asking: how can we get people involved, how can we get them engaged, how can we get them to vote, be a part of the solution instead of a part of the problem? That means everyone! Even the sheeple deserve to have a voice, right? POWER TO THE SHEEPLE, RIGHT ON! Continue reading

“Outside The Box”: Does it pass the sanity test?

My insanely weird short story “Outside the Box” is featured in the most recent anthology from SCARS Publication. Apparently they liked it, since they named the entire collection after it. Continue reading

Why should the U.S. wage war on Iran?

Why should the U.S. wage war on Iran? There are so many answers to that question, it’s difficult to know where to begin. But here are a few right off the top of my head, based on our current foreign policy and the thinking mapped out by the truly remarkable collection of political leaders currently at the helm. Creativity: Two Existentialists Walk Into A Bar . . .

I never should have called Professor Dornberger an insatiable proof sucker searching for the perfect syllogism. Hindsight is so powerful but ultimately useless. Continue reading

Life In Japan: White Day

White Day in Japan is the occasion for the guys to give sweet treats and other simple gifts to the girls, payback for bestowing on them piles of chocolate and other heart-shaped confections on Valentines Day. Continue reading

Life In Japan: Valentine’s Day

They celebrate Valentines Day here — a distinctly Japanese version of the love holiday. It’s very innocent to be sure, but the guys are still in charge. Yes, on Valentines Day, the guys in Japan just sit back and the girls pile it on — chocolate, that is. From what I can tell, none of the giving is based on hot passion, hot sex, hot anticipation. Basically, the message is: “I’m a girl and you’re a boy and you’re not all that bad.” Or maybe: “I like you. I think. Call me maybe?” Continue reading

The Lizard Brain Has Imposed a No-Fly Zone Over the Cerebral Cortex

Stress is bad. Here it is the time of year when we should be enjoying life, celebrating the birth of a future carpenter who would fall victim to a sting operation by the Roman secret police, make a wholly embarrassing and painful exit from the dusty scene in Jerusalem, then become the iconic figurehead of a world-class religion, and what are we doing? Fighting over the last Iron Man Avengers Age of Ultron Toy at Walmart with an open-carry rodeo queen who left her 18-wheeler diesel engine idling in the parking lot. Well, you tense and frazzled folks, I’ve found the perfect Christmas gift for you and your whole stressed-out family! Continue reading
